At the Real Deal Brazil, we wear our raucous good taste prominently on our sleeves. To be more specific, we wear it on our hats. Our Craft Beer Cap Hat Bands, each one of them one of a kind, burp it loud, and belch it proud: We only drink, and wear, the very best!
Our aim in assembling these hat bands is always to include as wide a variety of beer brands as possible, with North Carolina brewers proudly represented, particularly top regionals like World Beer Cup gold winner Duck-Rabbit in Farmville, just down the road from us. We also mix in caps from tasty imports, and even a couple craft hard ciders. A lot of solid brews, however, are just too readily available to typically make the cut (Sam Adams, Heineken, etc.)
Consistently getting good used craft-beer caps is the tough part of making these cool little hat accessories; actual construction of the bands themselves is very straightforward. We cleanly double-punch all beer caps so they slide easily onto the heavy cord recycled from our sister hammock business, then set the caps uniformly apart, affixing them with a high-melt-point glue.
The changing combinations of graphics, colors and text transform these brew-lifestyle hat bands into distinctive works of wearable art, and hip advertisements for all your hoppy, malty obsessions. Tie one of these beauties around your RDB hat, and suddenly you're a bar conversation just waiting to happen …
Our Craft Beer Cap Hat Band is one of only a couple Real Deal Brazil products made here in the U.S.A.; everything else originates entirely in Brazil. Yet the defining feature of these hat bands, even beyond how cool they are, is the same as with all our products: They're made from recycled stuff! Our craft and import caps are actually winnowed out of many other beer tops collected from several local bars that would otherwise be throwing them all away.
And yes, we contribute a few caps ourselves. We do it for the team.
We also offer a Beer Cap Hat Band that includes mostly big-name American brews, plus a made-in-Brazil Brazilian Beer Cap Hat Band.
Note that while we do use high-melt-point glue, prolonged concentrated heat such as may be produced on car dashboards on scorching days, or through midday desert-climate sun exposure, can nonetheless sometimes cause the glue to begin to melt, which can produce permanent spotting on your hat.
